Camp cancellations must be requested one full week before your child’s scheduled camp in order to receive a 50% refund.

TINY ARTIST 1:

Become an artist this week by exploring different age appropriate techniques, art mediums and trying your hand at nature art!


TINKER TOTS BICYCLE:

June 24,25,26

Learn about bike safety, “maintenance”, and explore our meadow via our two wheeled striders! (Please note campers are NOT to bring bikes to camp. FFNS will provide a certain number of striders to campers at a time to ensure safety.)


TAKING FLIGHT:

From bugs to birds, this week we will focus on creatures with our forest that fly.

Watch the forest transform as we visit planets, stars and other galaxies. Don’t forget your space suit and watch out for forest space slime!

FLINTKNAPPING:

We are ready to explore and learn the process of shaping stone into tools using a hammerstone and other tools. a valuable skill all adventurers should have!

SOLAR HEAT= EAT:

June 16-19

Work together to gather natural materials, reuse/repurpose tools many wilderness explorers carry with them and create a solar oven! At the end of our time together you will vote on a meal to cook together and feast!

SHELTER BUILDING:

June 23-26

A forest school favorite! Come learn about different types of shelters and dive into the world of survival. This week you will use forest materials to create structurally sound shelters for play.

BOW AND ARROW MAKING:

June 30-July 3

Every kids dream, creating a successful bow and arrow.Join your guide in determining the best type of wood for your bow and arrow. We will wrap up our session with a little archery in the meadow! (An age/size appropriate bow will be provided for turn taking the meadow.)

WEAVING/ SEWING:

July 7-10

Exploring natural art this week, we will learn the basics to weaving, get creative and perhaps even begin our first basket! Students will be encouraged to forage for supplies but will also be provided appropriate materials.
